Al Peduzzi – President of the Board of Directors
Mr. Peduzzi is an Aeronautical engineer with extensive experience in the field. He received his Bachelors Degree from NYU in Aeronautics and Astronautics, and his Master’s Degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. While employed in private industry he managed projects for the United States Air Force and Navy, as well as NASA. Mr. Peduzzi has published papers on emissions reduction and advanced jet engine lubrication, and is a patent holder. He has also volunteered for Big Brothers of Palm Beach County and St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church in Singer Island, FL. Al has been with Sunset House since 2000, and serves as President of the Board of Directors.

Susan L. Taylor – Vice President of the Board of Directors
Mrs. Taylor is an attorney and shareholder with Perry & Taylor, P.A., specializing in Land Use, Zoning, and Governmental Law. She received her Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1995. Susan is a member of numerous organizations, including the Florida Bar Association, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches, and is an active member of the Palm Beach County Planning Congress, where she currently serves on the Professional Education Committee. Mrs. Taylor has been a member of the Sunset House Board of Directors since 2005. She currently serves as Vice President.

Stephen K. Denny – Treasurer
Mr. Denny is a local businessman who has had a longstanding professional career in Palm Beach County. He was President and owner of Stephen K. Denny Air Conditioning, Inc., and acts as a private real estate investor currently. Stephen has been involved in numerous volunteer organizations such as the CUB Scouts and Café Joshua. Mr. Denny has been with Sunset House since 2000, and presently serves as Treasurer.

James Wilson – Secretary
Mr. Wilson is a local mechanical engineer with industry experience in design, analysis and testing of both commercial and military aerospace products. He received his Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami in 2004, and currently works as a mechanical engineer for a local firm. Jim became a member of the Sunset House Board in 2007, and serves as the Secretary and the organization’s Community Outreach Coordinator.

Michael J. Parsons – Board Member
Mr. Parsons is a Certified Public Accountant who is active in several professional associations. He is currently a member of the Palm Beach Gardens Kiwanis Club, and has served as the Campaign Treasurer for many successful political campaigns in Palm Beach County. Mr. Parsons received his Bachelor’s in Science from Ball State University. Mike joined the Board in 2003, and has served as Interim Treasurer.

Jim Emmert – Consultant on Quality Assurance and Organizational Ethics
Mr. Emmert, BS (Engineering & Management) & BA (Sociology & Psychology) with graduate studies at Rutgers University School of Alcohol and Drug Studies and Southeastern School of Alcohol & Drug Studies at the University of Georgia. He is a principal in JFE Associates and Open Door Interventions, serves as a volunteer consultant to the Board as Chair of the Quality Assurance Committee, which includes Ethics review and resolution. He is a Fellow in the College of Addiction Treatment Administrators, a Board Registered Interventionist, and a former Chief Executive Officer of Amethyst Treatment Center, a 94 bed non-profit treatment center in North Carolina. He also does training and serves on the faculty of the Rutgers Summer Schools of Alcohol & Drug Studies as well as the North Carolina School of Alcohol & Drug Studies at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. Prior to entering the field of addictions care he was an executive with Oldsmobile Division of General Motors Corporation.
